Single Session Therapy (SST); focused therapy for clarity and direction
Single Session Therapy (SST) is for you if you have a specific issue that can be tackled in a focused way and you want to deal with it as quickly as possible. The key objective of Single Sesssion Therapy is to help you get unstuck and move on with your life as quickly as possible.
Single Session Therapy as a form of therapy was born from a number of studies demonstrating that many clients either improve or feel sufficiently helped after a single meeting.
I will ask you to complete and return a brief ‘Pre-Session Form’ which is designed to help you prepare for the session. The session (by Zoom or in-person) that follows lasts for up to 50 minutes. At the end of the session, if relevant, you will leave with a plan to implement what you learned in the session and be encouraged to implement that plan and see what happens.
With your permission, I will record the session and send you a copy of the recording, which is included in the cost of the session.
Single Session Therapy is designed for people who want focused support around a specific issue without committing to ongoing therapy.
In this structured session we clarify the core difficulty, explore helpful perspectives, and identify practical next steps.
